Founder & Executive Director
Sandra Day is the founder and executive director of the Purple Ribbon Minority Women’s Organization, where she leads with purpose, resilience, and a deep commitment to uplifting underserved communities in Indianapolis. Inspired by her own lived experience as a survivor of domestic violence, Sandra transformed personal hardship into a powerful mission focused on creating safe spaces, support systems, and life-changing resources for minority women and families. Her work is rooted in trauma-informed care, cultural sensitivity, and a strong belief that healing is possible when people are met with compassion and dignity. Under her leadership, the organization continues to expand its impact through education, empowerment initiatives, health awareness, and community outreach that supports women, children, and seniors.

Madelynn Moody serves as the Board Chair for the community baby shower program at Purple Ribbon Minority Women’s Organization, supporting one of the organization’s most meaningful outreach initiatives. With a heart for maternal health and family wellness, Madelynn is dedicated to ensuring expecting mothers receive encouragement, essential resources, and a strong support network during pregnancy and early motherhood.
